Facilitated Sessions blue Q

Q’s principal, Della Smith, has built a reputation for facilitating meetings that get results. She employs a facilitation style that sets out specific goals, then works with the participants to achieve success. Use of a wide range of techniques and current technology, including opinion meters, make these sessions enjoyable as well as productive. Preparation plays a vital role in the outcome of any meeting. Each session is thoroughly and strategically planned in advance. Flexibility and adaptability during the session are critical factors in generating full participation and total group engagement.

  1. Board/Senior Management retreats – the facilitator allows the entire group to fully participate relieving the Board Chair or CEO of chairing the session. Future strategic planning and dealing with major impacts to an organization are just two of the areas of focus for these workshops.
  2. Consensus Building – creating an environment to allow people to come to agreement around an idea, a change, challenge or evolution of an organization or stakeholder groups. Finding commonalities and using techniques to bring out information with context is just part of the methodology used for this type of session.
  3. Focus Groups – getting meaningful feedback on ideas, programs and initiatives through dynamic discussions using technology and techniques that minimize peer influence and drill down to the nitty gritty of the subject.
  4. Planning Sessions – assisting teams in a wide variety of planning meetings by ensuring the group stays focused, deals with the tough issues and maintains a decorum that is conducive to open discussions and great ideas. For specific needs such as strategic plans, business plans, brand/vision sessions or sensitive issues Q often works with senior associates to assist in the delivery of follow up programs or pre-session research and information gathering.
